MEET THE SAVAGE VARAN TRIBE
SAM VARAN
Sam is an adventurous, lovable Varan and the main playing character in the game. He's good-natured and curious by nature which gets him into a lot of trouble on the treasure hunt. He's closely aligned with Bartuk who he looks up to as father figure. He's crushing hard on Sol Varan but his feelings are not requited.
BARTUK VARAN
Bartuk is the elder statesman of the Varan Tribe and is a direct descendent of the Pirates of the Calypso. He's brash and cantankerous with free spirited hillbilly attitude. He has a long history with Malcolm Butch Buggeridge and will fight tooth and nail to keep the tribe united.
LOLA VARAN
Lola Varan is the big momma of Komodo Island and essentially runs the place. Her go-getter nature and generally likable personality makes her one of the most popular Varans on the island. Not only is she a terrific support system for many islanders but also the keeper of untold secrets.
VASILI VARAN
Vasili Varan is not the sharpest knife in the shed and as a result he's the butt of many jokes. The other Varans get him to do a lot of their dirty work. Despite being taken advantage of, he never looses his good natured-spirit. Ignorance is bliss in the truest sense of the word. He's also never seen without his cowboy hat...
SOL VARAN
Sol Varan is rumored to be the illegitimate love child of Bartuk and Sol Varan and is the rebellious misfit of the island. Her dream is to leave the island to start a punk rock band abroad. Yet, despite her hardened exterior, she still has a fondness for the other Varans and island life.
BOBAN VARAN
He's Bartuk's big rival on the island. A young and ambitious upstart who has ancient Varan ancestry and feels Bartuk has overstayed his welcome as a leader. The uniting factor is their combined disdain for Buggeridge. Boban is convinced that if he finds the treasure first, he might very well become the new leader.
